About this event

Fantastical Flying Machines is an exciting, interactive and challenging team event. Hosted by the eccentric Captain Percy Phillips, teams will design and build a flying machine and then prepare for the final Parade of Planes!

In Part One, teams compete in head-to-head challenges to obtain including wheels, timber, bamboo, cardboard, paints, stationery and tools to help them build their flying machine.

In Part Two teams design and build their flying machine. As well as designing, building and decorating their machine, there are other roles such as creating a uniform and selecting pilots for the final challenge! The flying machines must all pass a Safety Test to ensure they are safe and ready for action! Extra points up for grabs here too!

In Part Three, teams line up for the Parade of Planes and then put their machines to the test in the final challenge: a ‘relay’ style race and based on skill and creativity as opposed to speed. It is high energy, interactive and a great spectacle!

The event concludes with a prize-giving and announcement of the winning team.

This event focuses on teamwork, delegation, time management, creativity and competition.
