Blast the Task is a fun, quick-fire, highly interactive team building game for teams working remotely from home in lock down. The aim of the game is to connect teams working from home and encourage them to collaborate.
Based on the popular UK TV show "Task Master", Blast the Task is presented in 3 short, quick-fire, high-energy 20-30 minute live online sessions. The aim is to keep the excitement and the engagement levels up over a few days. We recommend three sessions over a week starting on a Monday / Tuesday and ending on a Friday, but you can choose days and times to suit your team's schedule.
Tasks range from team-based problem-solving challenges to competitions, quizzes, and 'out of the box' challenges. All, of course, within the rules of the current lock down measures.
Tasks are either a "win it in a minute" task where team compete with other teams at an online meeting or "on the go" tasks which teams do in their own time between sessions.
The third session ends with a "team social" where we present the final results and scores. Many teams will choose to continue to hang out together afterwards to socialise and catch up online.
You can choose to play the "original game" that includes tasks from our menu of great options, or a "customised game". For a customised game we include a selection of bespoke tasks about your organisation or industry such as topical themes, company trivia or messages to support your business objectives.
Blast the Task is hosted by a fun, engaging host who lays down the challenges and keeps the teams on task throughout. Between sessions teams can check the scores and get updates via a private Blast the Task web page.
We add new tasks every week, so you can play Blast the Task weekly or at intervals that suit your team.
Audience: Teams working remotely in lockdown
Numbers: Minimum of 6, maximum of 20
Duration: 3 sessions over 3 days of your choice (we recommend you spread it over one week)
- Session 1 (30 minutes): Introduction, explanation of game. 3 tasks
- Session 2 (20 minutes): 3 tasks
- Session 3 (30 minutes): 3 tasks. Results, wrap up and prizes
Location: Wherever you are. This programme is delivered entirely online.
Your MC / host: Hosted by a CluedUp Task Master.
Equipment requirements for each team member:
- Internet connection
- Computer with webcam
- Online meeting software (we prefer Zoom)
