About this event

The Hungry Games is a fun, memorable, thought-provoking and challenging outdoor event experience. Teams earn food for completing a range of tasks and challenges. After the event the food is donated to a charity or community organisation of your choice.

Teams travel on foot (or in vehicles) to checkpoint locations. They are guided by GPS via our user-friendly mobile app. The objective is simple: visit as many checkpoints as possible and complete as many of the tasks as possible.

All of the checkpoint tasks have a food theme. Tasks are divided into categories. Each task has a point value. The more difficult the task, the more points they earn. The tasks are eclectic and varied .They provide a combination of physical and mental challenges. The tasks require problem-solving, strategic thinking, creativity and a bit of luck! Groups can choose which tasks they do and therefore ‘play to their strengths’. The tasks will see them travel to a variety of locations around your chosen location.

In addition to the task, teams must also take photos at each location. The event concludes with all groups assembling at the rendezvous location for the final prize-giving where the best photos are shown and the winners announced.

This can take place over food and drinks at a venue of your choice. The food that teams earn is donated / delivered to a charity / community organisation of your choice.

Duration:  2-3 hours

Participants: Minimum of 6 people

Location: Your choice of venue in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupo, Palmerston North, Dunedin, Queenstown, Wanaka, New Plymouth or anywhere in New Zealand
